Transformers

Transformers for railways

MAKITEL DOOEL manufactures specialized single-phase transformers engineered explicitly for railway auxiliary infrastructure. Designed to tap directly into traction power networks or local medium-voltage distribution systems, these units provide dedicated power step-down capabilities for railway operations.

Zero Point transformers

Zero-point earthing transformers serve as a critical mechanism in power systems engineering to generate an artificial neutral reference within ungrounded or delta-connected networks. From an analytical perspective, isolated medium-voltage networks suffer from severe phase-voltage displacement and dangerous transient overvoltages during single line-to-ground faults. By introducing a low-impedance path for zero-sequence currents, these specialized units stabilize healthy phase potentials. They also facilitate precise fault-current detection for protective relaying schemes.

Transformers for reactibles

The production facility of the renowned Macedonian manufacturer MAKITEL DOOEL  delivers sophisticated, custom-engineered multi-secondary rectifier transformers. Designed for heavy industrial applications like aluminum electrolysis, chemical plants, arc furnaces, and high-power DC drives, these units provide critical electrical isolation while naturally eliminating destructive high-frequency harmonics at the primary source.

Transformers for renewables

MAKITEL DOOEL specializes in manufacturing high-efficiency, low-loss liquid-immersed transformers up to 12.5 MVA and 40.5 kV
Engineered specifically to meet the stringent demands of modern clean energy plants, these eco-efficient units minimize both core (no-load) and copper losses to maximize the round-trip efficiency of variable green generation.

Shunt reactors

MAKITEL DOOEL manufactures specialized high-quality shunt reactors designed for inductive compensation in medium-voltage grids. Long underground and subsea cable lines possess high natural capacitance. Under light load or no-load conditions, this capacitance generates an immense buildup of capacitive reactive power, triggering the Ferranti effect—a dangerous rise in voltage at the receiving end of the line.
